Vitesse Vizslas is located in the heart of the Historic St. John’s Church District of Richmond, Virginia; more commonly referred to as Church Hill

The name comes from my second Vizsla and foundation bitch, Broad Run’s Blazn Vitesse JH, “Tess” and translates from its French origin to Speed.  My late husband, Bob, and I felt it was most appropriate for our competitive field prospect puppy.  Tess is the foundation of my breeding program, upon which I intend to build a lasting legacy of healthy, sweet tempered versatile Vizslas.

I currently serve on the Board of Directors for The Conestoga Vizsla Club.  I also serve as the Chairman for the Breed Health and Education Committee, and a member of the Rescue Committee.  Please consider rescuing a Vizsla, and never buy a puppy from a pet store or backyard breeder!  Through my work with the Rescue Committee recently I have learned how truly difficult it is to coordinate and place dogs. There are lots of interviews, the occasional rejection and at the end of the day, the hope that you’ve made the right match between dog and family. The Conestoga Vizsla Club had its work cut out for it in 2009. I’d like to thank all of the people that helped through networking, donating time, money and supplies and opening their homes to these wonderful dogs!

I feel fortunate that I was given the opportunity to touch the lives of roughly 20 Vizslas last year. Sad that it was necessary, but it made me truly appreciate my own dogs and be better able to understand and describe the differences between a Reputable Breeder and an irresponsible one.

Please feel free to contact me to volunteer for rescue efforts, ask questions about the breed or learn more about my dogs and the fun things we do (AKC Field Trials and Hunt Tests)!

Thank you for visiting my little home on the Internet!
